| The Natural Bloom Finish is the unaltered finish of beeswax. A Natural Bloom Finish candle will in time develop what is called bloom over the surface of the beeswax. This bloom, a white film, is normal and occurs to all pure beeswax. This is caused because some of the components of the beeswax migrate to the surface of the candle.
Bloom can be easily removed by wiping the candle with a soft cloth, applying gentle heat with a hair dryer, or placing the candle in warm sunlight. Even though the bloom is easily removable, many people actually desire this effect as it tends to give the beeswax candle a unique look and feel.
The Decorative Gloss Finish is a glossy candle finish used to bring out the fine details of the candle and it also significantly delays the development of the natural bloom. This is a nice finish for many decorative candles and figure candles.
